.... what a beautiful but simple song. I remember this movie from when I was a kid, and the opera from when I was much older. It took me a couple of years to realise they were one in the same.
Didn't know, though, that (according to someone on the net, which is the same as saying Chinese whispers) orchestras are reluctant to play "I dreamt I dwelt in marble halls." Supposedly, there's a superstition that after an orchestra has played it, one member will die within a month. I wonder where that superstition comes from?
